Appearance: A sun-baked, rum soaked rogue of an individual, Jack Sparrow stands at 1.83m, and is decked from head to toe with an eclectic array of beads and bangles. With equally outlandish clothes and a bandanna over dreadlocked, beaded dark hair, Jack is sure to capture attention, whether deliberately or otherwise.

His keen, inquisitive dark eyes are lined with kohl, and he walks with a swagger to induce the misconception of drunkenness. His swagger is always accompanied by random flailing gestures, which further accentuates his unfocused nature.

Although his drunken swagger is genuine most of the time, thanks to his obsessive love for alcohol, he uses that particular behavior to put off potential enemies as well, for who would be on guard against a barely conscious, slurring drunkard who seemed to have no sense whatsoever?




Personality:



Sly, cunning, observant, and outrageous are but a few words that correctly describe the daring pirate. A walking contradiction in himself, he is an altruistic individual who would not allow an innocent to suffer. Quick-witted and eccentric, Jack Sparrow is somehow able to get out of close scrapes and near death incidents with minimal damage. Which, considering his personality, he seems to get into with frightening regularity.

Despite his outwrd appearance, Jack Sparrow is a highly educated man, which is evident in the way he quoted Dante's words almost carelessly, as well as the way he holds his cutlass. Highly skilled and nimble, he shows signs of being trained by a master swordsman.

He might act like a fool on a regular basis, but do not let that misconception beguile you, for he was the only man who ransacked Port Nassau without firing a single shot, and he had more than enough wits to get off a marooned island with relative ease.

A pirate he is, and a gentleman as well. He does not like killing, and would not do so until he is forced to. More often than not a hit with the ladies, Jack would frequently be hit by said ladies as well, simply because he is a jackass. A compulsive liar and a skiled thief, one never shakes hands with Jack Sparrow and expects to have his possessions intact.








Abilities/Weaponry: A flintlock pistol, a sword, and a compass are his only weapons.

Weaknesses: Women. Innocents. He can never bear to allow any woman/innocent to suffer, and would stupidly put himself in the line of danger just to save them. Also, despite his rough exterior, Jack Sparrow is a little too soft-hearted for his own good, and his unwillingness to kill his enemies unless he is absolutely forced to puts him at a disadvantage. In fact, his kind nature is the reason why his crew had mutinied against him.




History:



Nothing very much is known about Captain Jack Sparrow before his career as a pirate. It is often speculated that he was born to a rich family, was educated, and became a cartographer, which was how he had discovered Isla de Muerta.

His crew had mutinied and marooned him on a island a little more than ten years ago during their search for legendary Aztec treasure. With only a pistol containing a single bullet, Jack Sparrow was left to die on an island.

However, he escaped, and had gone looking for revenge against the leader of the mutiny, the First Mate Barbossa and to reclaim his beloved ship, The Black Pearl.

Along the way, he had met Will Turner, and the both of them embarked on an adventure and a quest to save his beloved ship as well as Will's beloved woman, who was kidnapped by Barbossa.

At the end, Barbossa was dispatched of, The Black Pearl was returned, and Jack Sparrow was once again Captain of a new crew. However, his spirit of adventure was not hampered in the least, and off he went on more adventures.
